Frequently Asked Questions

  • How does the ordering process work?
    You will order a listing off the "shop" tab here on the site, then send your inclusions WITH YOUR NAME AND ORDER NUMBER following the directions outlined in the "shipping instructions" tab. We will let you know when we have received your inclusions, as well as when we are shipping your completed piece out to you.
  • What is your current turnaround time?
    Non-wood pieces (all inclusions): 14-16 weeks from the date we received your inclusion Wood pieces (all inclusions): about 20 weeks from the date we received your inclusion
  • How much do you need of my inclusion?
    On each item in the shop, you can find the amount of inclusion needed for the piece. Generally, we need about: 0.5-2 oz of breastmilk 1 teaspoon- 1 tablespoon of ashes/burial dirt A pinch of hair (5-10 strands) 2-4 flower petals
  • How do I ship you my inclusion?
    Please see our "Shipping Instructions" tab here on the website.
  • Can you add color, shimmer, or gold flakes to my piece?
    Yes, absolutely! Please see the options under each listing for customization options to make each piece exactly how you want it.
  • Are there any care instructions provided for the jewelry?
    Yes! Each order is sent with care instructions for you to follow, but you can find care instructions at
  • Do you work with pets?
    Yes! We work with all loved ones.
  • Where can I find updates on my order?
    If you join our Facebook group, Tree of Hope VIP, you will find an order update document under the "Pinned Posts" section. The document has multiple tabs based on the type of order. Please be sure you are looking under the appropriate tab for your order number. Barring any kind of family sicknesses or emergencies, the order update document will be updated once a week.
  • What happens with extra inclusions you don't use in the order?
    With the exception of breastmilk, since it becomes a processed powder upon arrival, any extra inclusions are sent home safely with your order. Your breastmilk is kept with us for at least one year after your piece is created in case you would like to make any other orders.
  • How do I know my ring size?
    You can go to any jeweler, and they will measure you. Or order a sizer through us when you place your order. Another option is to measure your finger using a piece of string and the guide below.
  • Can I make changes (coloring, ring size, style) after I have ordered?
    We want each person to be in love with the piece they get, so we do accept order changes regarding coloring, shimmer, etc. However, since we order settings for your order as we receive them, we will not be able to change the style or ring size, especially on our 14K Gold settings.
  • What inclusions do you work with?
    We will work with most anything you can imagine. In the past, we have worked with breastmilk, human and animal ashes, flowers, grave dirt, human and animal hair, placenta, umbilical cord, pregnancy tests, and much more.
  • Can I add additional pieces to an order I already submitted?
    Absolutely! You can submit a new order of the additional piece(s) you want and just reference your old order number in the order notes section. Please be sure to contact us to let us know your order numbers that are tied together.
  • Does the jewelry turn green?
    No. Our rings are made of non-plated 925 Solid Sterling Silver or Solid 14K Gold.
  • Do you have rose gold or yellow gold options?
    Most of our jewelry have 14K Rose Gold and Yellow Gold options. See individual listings for more information. *We are no longer offering plating, as we do not want our customers to have to worry about re-plating in the future.
  • How can I contact you?

  • I just sent a message. Why haven't I received a response?
    We ask for 24-48 hours to respond to messages. Your patience is greatly appreciated as we receive a large volume of messages daily.
  • What is your return/cancellation policy?
    You are able to cancel your order within 24 hours for a 100% refund. If you cancel within 5 days of your order minus a 20% cancellation fee. Orders cannot be cancelled after five (5) days, as we custom order settings and supplies based on your order. Since each piece is custom-made, there are no returns; however, we are happy to work with you upon receipt of your piece if you don't feel it is absolutely perfect.
  • My breastmilk is older or got ruined in a power outage. Can I still use it?
    Yes, you can! Since it goes through a preservation process and is not being consumed, almost any milk you have can be used! We have worked with milk that was 23 years old before, so your milk can still be used.
  • Do you offer international shipping?
    Yes! We ship all over the world.
